Stefan had a closer look at the positioning of the fuel-pump in relation to the rear cylinder head. The fuel couplings are only 20mm way from the head, so precision is needed. As a side result, he was able to determine – as a rough guideline – what the expected capacity will be. Drumroll, Tadaa: we’re looking at 19,7 l !

Fantastic! Of course we will loose a couple of ml’s during final design, but a nett capacity of 18l is much better than we anticipated. This means a useable driving range between 250 – 300 km, depending on your right wrist ;-)   A minor problem that occurred during the fuel-pump positioning will be solved constructively.
